About Taylor

Taylor Rowan grew up in Melbourne, Florida, where he attended Melbourne High School before heading to Western Illinois University to play college football as a placekicker. After college, Taylor continued pursuing football professionally, spending time in the Arena Football League, United Football League, and NFL minicamps before eventually landing in Spokane. He went on to spend four years with the Spokane Shock, and during that time, the Inland Northwest began to feel like home.

After stepping away from football, Taylor shifted his competitive energy toward entrepreneurship. In 2017, he founded Taylor'd Containers, which has since evolved into Taylor'd Systems, a Spokane-area company specializing in the design and manufacturing of fire training facilities and props for fire departments across the country.

Over the past year, Taylor has also discovered a passion for media and storytelling. He launched the Confident Risks podcast as a way to share conversations and stories from people in and around the fire service. That passion eventually led to Liberty Laker, which he co-hosts with Tommy—a show built around the people, businesses, events, and stories that make the Liberty Lake community unique. For Taylor, Liberty Laker is a chance to have some fun, connect with the community, and shine a light on the place he and his family call home.
